Heinz Eifel Auslese ( special late harvest)
The ripened Riesling grapes of the Heinz Eifel Auslese are picked by hand from the steep slopes of the Middle Mosel. The grapes are harvested no earlier than late October or early November. This wine is rich in flavours with scents of honey, almonds, ripe apricots and mango. It is full-bodied with an impressive interplay of fruits. This special late harvest wine matches mature cheeses, fruit and puddings very well.

Grape variety: Riesling
Alcohol: 7,5 - 8,5 %
Residual sugar: 65-75 g/l
Acidity: 6,5 - 7,5 g/l

Despite its small vineyards the mordern and high-class HEINZ EIFEL label provides wines across the entire Riesling quality spectrum. The production of German highlevel Riesling wines is more than just a science. It is a form of art requiring the uncompromising skill and passion of the winemaker.
This vision is deep-rooted at Weinhaus Römerhof. By putting his name on the HEINZ EIFEL label the owner warrants the quality of these wines. In contrast to many big wineries Heinz Eifel takes personal control over the whole wine making process: from grapevine to bottling. His daughter, Anne Eifel-Spohr has taken over the position of winemaker for the HEINZ EIFEL label. She has been active in the company since 2001 and continues the long family tradition.
